I have 25 years of target archery experience and have worked in an archery pro shop for 15 years.  I am an Avid outdoors man and I love to share the experience with new people.
I have a deep passion for the sport of target archery and I believe the NASP program gives every child an opportunity to experience the sport I love. I have seen the way this program can change a child's life.

I have been lucky enough to work in the Archery Industry since 1990.  I have 3 wonderful children that enjoy the sport of archery as much as I do.  In my 20 years in the Archer Industry, my involvement with the National Archery in the Schools Program has been the most rewarding.

My involvement with NASP has allowed me to fulfill my goal of giving to others the sport that gave so much to me. My experience as a traditional archer was a natural fit with the very thorough structure and core contents of the NASP teaching process.  NASP is the best tool in my tool box for teaching kids of all ages, 9 to 90. The time I've spent working with NASP has enriched my own life and archery experience.

I have been involved I archery for a little over 15 years and currently compete in the NFAA Senior Professional division.  I have been on the Wisconsin Archery Alliance (formerly Wisconsin  Field Archery Association) board of directors, Tournament chairman for the WAA State tournament, National Field Archery Association State Representative and am an avid bow hunter and love to talk about and shoot archery of any type.

I first started instructing kids at the local Boys and Girls club and once NASP was offered I jumped at the chance to spread interest in the sport.  NASP is an excellent introduction to the sport and any kid can do it.  My favorite is the young lady here in Wisconsin Rapids that shot the state tournament using a chew strap (as she had a disability in one arm)!

Requirements for becoming a Wisconsin NASP Specialist-  A NASP Specialist is one level higher than a Basic Archery Instructor-Trainer (BAIT).  Becoming a NASP Specialist allows you to conduct not only the NASP Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) workshop for school teachers, but also the NASP Basic Archery Instructor Trainer (BAIT) workshops for those who want to train teachers.  Wisconsin NASP Specialists are dedicated to the concept of teaching archery in schools and are willing to travel, promote NASP and conduct BAI and BAIT courses on an annual basis.  They form a core group that helps determine the annual work plan for NASP.  The prospective candidate must have been a Basic Archery Instructor Trainer (BAIT) level instructor for a minimum of 12 consecutive months and have taught at least 3 BAI workshops per year.
